An encouraging achievement was once again engraved by students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Medan at the International level in the 2018 Bali Kungfu International Championship in Nusa Dua, Bali, 17-22 December 2018.
Josua Sitinjak won one gold medal and one Bronze in the 2018 Bali Kungfu International with the first place in the category of Male Other Empty Hands, Traditional Northern Style Senior 1, and 3rd place in the category of Male Traditional Short Weapons Senior 1 in the 1st Bali International Kungfu Championships. This championship is held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Bali.
The event was attended by Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, Mr. Wushu Indonesia, I.G.K Manila, Kadispora of Bali Province, Ketut Ngurah Boy Jayawibawa, and other invitees. The opening was carried out by the Chairperson of the Indonesian Wushu Grand Management (PBWI) and Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto.
The championship was attended by athletes from Indonesia, Ukraine, Macau, and Norway, while the 1st Bali International Kungfu Championships took place during 17-22 December 2018 in Nusa Dua. There were 733 athletes from Indonesia, Ukraine, Macau, and Norway with 429 competition numbers.
What a proud achievement for universities, faculties, and UKM in Medan Area University. For the achievements obtained by the University of Medan Area, saying “Congratulations and Thanks for bringing the good name of the Almamater”, maybe a motivation for other students to compete for achievements.
